Teaching Approach

We develop Aviation English programs that reflect best practices in language teaching and learning. We follow an approach that uses information and examples that are relevant to our students' jobs and that support language learning. As a result, our students become more informed aviation professionals and more proficient English language speakers.

Example topics in English for Air Traffic Control:

  • Handling Unusual or Emergency Situations
  • Introduction to Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS)
  • Fatigue

Example topics in English for Ab Initio Pilots:

  • Aviation Weather
  • Aircraft Systems
  • Aeronautical Charts

Capabilities

In collaboration with Embry-Riddle subject matter experts, our team has developed customized Aviation English learning programs and assessments for pilots and controllers. We stand ready to develop additional programs for aviation maintenance technicians, ground staff and more.

Aviation English is not a “one size fits all” operation. We design programs that meet specific English language needs and contribute to operational efficiency, capacity and, above all, safety.
