Cory Murdock
(Graduate Advisor for B,N)

About Cory Murdock

Hometown: Apopka, FL

Education: Bachelor of Science in Political Science: International Relations, minor in Mathematics – University of Central Florida

Hobbies/Interests: I love spending time with my family, down at the beach, walking on trails in the woods, eating donuts, anything together really! I enjoy playing soccer and love to watch it anytime I can (go LFC!). I also am a big fan of music and am content with spending an evening at the piano or sitting with a guitar.

Best Part of the Job: For me the best part is having the opportunity to interact, guide and encourage students throughout their time at Embry-Riddle. It is a privilege to be able to watch and help students overcome challenges and reach the coveted day of graduation.

Cory comes to ERAU with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of education. He performs his duties as an Academic Advisor with professionalism and provides outstanding guidance to his students. Cory is committed to helping his students reach their educational goals.

As an Air Reserve Technician, Maintenance Squadron Superintendent of F-16 aircraft at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Robert Michalak's charge is to support the 278 airmen who maintain the F-16's. He also keeps the aircraft and maintainers ready to deploy at a moment’s notice. Robert felt a huge sense of personal accomplishment when he received his Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Embry-Riddle and while it was a long, overdue dream come true, he wanted to continue to further his education and enrolled in the Master of Science in Aviation Maintenance program. Upon completion of his master’s degree, Robert hopes to remain in his current, professional role and then eventually transition to work for the FAA or NTSB. He also has a goal of becoming an educator for Embry-Riddle.
