Undergraduate and Graduate
An international student is defined as any non-United States citizen intending to study at Worldwide Campuses located outside the United States, students who live outside of the United States enrolled through Worldwide Online, as well as non-residents and non-immigrants planning to study in the United States (typically on a F-1 or a J-1 Visa). Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students. International applicants must submit the application for admission 90 days prior to the term start date. The following items are also required:
- All Undergraduate and Graduate applicants, who have any educational experience outside of the United States are required to provide an official course-by-course evaluation in English, which will be certified by a credential evaluating agency recommended by Embry-Riddle.
Undergraduate Applicants: evaluation must confirm completion of the equivalent of a High School diploma in the United States. This report must also included any post-secondary education completed.
Graduate Applicants: evaluation must confirm completion of a degree equivalent to that of a bachelor's degree in the United States with a cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

- Applicants for whom English is not the primary language must:
- Attain a minimum score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) of 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based), or 79-80 (internet based) - or -
- Earn transferable credit for a course that is the equivalent of ENGL 123 English Composition at an accredited postsecondary institution.

- For international students intending to study in the U.S. on F-1 student visas; provide a bank letter and an affidavit of financial support, or a scholarship letter, documentation of immunity to vaccine preventable diseases, and an advanced deposit to cover tuition for three terms. Upon receipt, the University will issue the Certificate of Eligibility (I-20) form upon acceptance for admission.
- Worldwide meets the needs of international students intending to study in the United States, with the assistance of a Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and Designated School Officials (DSO). This staff serves as the central point of contact for issues concerning international students at Worldwide Campuses. Embry-Riddle is authorized under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students.
